Wedding Couple Trivia

Wedding Couple Trivia, a wedding reception game which is not just a great way to pass the time between music sets, while waiting for the meal to be served, while waiting for you to arrive, etc., it is also a great way to know how much your guests know you.

Have questions about you and your spouse written down ahead of time. Questions can be fun, serious or even racy. Each question should always be about you, your spouse or the both of you.

Some sample questions are:

- When did you meet?
- Where did you meet?
- Which of you had braces?
- Who worked as ____ ?
- and many more possible questions.

Assign an emcee or a family member or a friend who will ask the guests your question. The emcee will choose a guest to answer the first question. If the guest answers correctly, he or she then call on the next guest who will answer, and so on.

This wedding reception game is perfect for a bridal shower, too.

Scavenger Hunt

Scavenger Hunt can be done before the wedding date. The entire wedding party can arrange for a scavenger hunt. There will be two teams, the team of the bride and the team of the groom. The team of bride includes all the girls included in the wedding party, while for the team of the groom, all the boys included in the wedding party. Each team can have someone act as a videographer. Both teams should go to a place where they need to find the things on the list they would be given, they have to hunt these things within a limited time period. The race will be caught on tape, all the funny moments and everything that will happen during the entire activity. The video should be shown at the wedding reception. Also, the losing team can be made to do something silly during the wedding reception.

Solve the Puzzle

Another unique wedding reception game is the game called Solve the Puzzle. This wedding reception game needs to be prepared beforehand. The bride and the groom can start by making a list of all the words that are related to the wedding , such as the wedding cake, wedding gown, tux, bride, groom, church, flowers, centerpieces, guests, decor, etc. After making this list, jumble up all the alphabets in each word and make another list of these jumbled words. Have several copies of this list ready. During the wedding reception, give out the copies to the guests. The guest can answer this question while eating, talking, or just mingling during the reception. The first guest to answer all the words correctly will be declared the winner. If the winner is man, his prize would be a dance with the bride, and if it's a woman, she can dance with the groom.

Keys to His Heart

This wedding reception game tests how well the bride and the groom will work as a team. All you need for this wedding reception game is a long strand of ribbon, long enough to be wrapped around the groom a few times, and one clean house key.

With the help of the groomsmen, the groom while standing would hold one end of the ribbon while the groomsmen slowly wraps his body with the rest of the ribbon. After wrapping the ribbon to the groom, one groomsman should hold the other end of the ribbon while the bride is given the "key to her groom's heart."

The groomsman will string the key onto the ribbon and the bride should move the key around the groom until she reaches the end of the ribbon which is in her groom's hand. What's the catch for this game? The bride can not use her hands in moving the keys around, she can only use her teeth to move it around.

Raffle Game in a Wedding

Follow the process of the old-fashioned and traditional raffle game.

For this wedding raffle game, give out a card with a number on it to all the guests as soon as they arrive at the reception venue or you can have your guests write their names on a card.  Put the card in a box or a bowl and schedule a special drawing for “prizes” in between the activities during the entire wedding reception. Guests love prizes and winnings no matter how small or how big it is.You can give out rice cooker, small barbeque grill, etc. Or even a bouquet of flowers, extra dessert, stuffed toys, gift certificate,  Definitely anything, since as said, guests would love the thrill of waiting for their name or number to be called to get the prize.

Roll the Dice

A wedding reception is not complete without the guests wanting to see the bride and the groom kiss. Usually, the guests tap their forks against classes to let the bride and groom know that they want them to kiss. Instead of doing this traditionally, why not do a little twist with the Roll the Dice game? Turn this old favorite game into a lively wedding reception game.

There are different ways to play this game.

One is to have the guests stand in line at the head table. Each guest must then roll a pair of dice, if the roll gave out a doubles, the bride and groom will kiss, if not, the guest must go back to their seat and the next guest will take their turn rolling the dice.

Second way is to pair people in each table. What makes it more fun is that not all pairs will be male and female, it can be 2 males and 2 females. Between dances or any activity, each couple must roll a pair of dice. If the roll gave out an even number, the bride and the groom should kiss. . . but if the roll gave out an odd number, the dice rollers must kiss!

Third, is to make a large six-sided die. Number four sides two through five, while for the other two sides, paint or paste a picture of lips. Have a guest roll the big die, if it lands on the lips, the bride and groom will kiss. If it lands on a number, the guest must kiss that many people, for example, if the guest rolled out "5", then she or he should kiss five guests who she or he doesn't really know.

Lastly, like in the second option, guests should pair up and roll a dice. If the roll gave out a seven, eleven or doubles, the bride and groom will kiss. If not, the pair must kiss each other.

This wedding reception game of Roll the Dice is really a fun game to play. It is a game that will be in the minds of your guests for years to come.

Active Wedding Reception Games

We have always attended to traditional wedding receptions – we welcome and celebrate the newly married couple, watch them dance and enjoy the cake with them. But, there are couples who are creative and enjoys coming up with fun wedding reception games and activities that includes the entire guest list.

Including the guests in an activity is an excellent way for them to get out of their chair, meet new people and feel that they are truly a part of the celebration, and not just mere observers.

One fun and active game that can be played by everyone in your guest list is the game called “want it now”.

In “want it now” wedding reception game, there would be a master of ceremonies, usually DJ in your wedding reception. The master of ceremonies will have a list of things he will be asking from your guests, the list is usually compiled before the reception so as not to consume too much time thinking of what to ask.

Everyone will wait at their table for the emcee’s command, if the emcee said that he wants someone who have painted toenails. All the women or even men with painted toenails will run to the front towards him. A point will be given each time a table sends someone to the front.

The table with the most points after the game wins and will be awarded with prizes. So make sure that people in your table have those obvious “wants”, like painted toenails, man with a mustache, child in a pink dress, single women, married women, and the list goes on. But there would also be “wants” that can come as a surprise, like “a man who have a lipstick in his pocket”, which will require that man to borrow a lipstick from a woman at his table and put it in his pocket before running to the front.

Another fun wedding reception game that will include all your guests is the musical chairs, but this time, the men will act as chairs. All the men will form in a circle while kneeling on one knee. The women would then begin playing the game musical chairs, and when the music stops, they must find a knee to sit on. A couple will be eliminated when either the man falls down when the woman finds his knee or when the woman falls down. If they both fall down, they are both out. This is a fun wedding reception game that brings laughter and adds to a relaxed wedding reception atmosphere.

If most of your guests are travelling to the wedding or don’t know many other guests, it is great to have a wedding reception game that will allow them to mingle and get to know other guests aside from the bride and the groom. For this wedding reception game, you will be needing an emcee again, it can be the DJ or a very outgoing friend or member of your wedding party. Break the wedding reception guests into two grups, by simply having them count off “1,2,1,2” and so on until the entire guest list belongs to either “1” or “2”.

The emcee will give a series of questions relating to the bride and the groom. The group needs to work together to answer all the questions correctly and as quickly as possible. The newlywed will then confirm if the answer is correct or not, making this game an excellent way for guests to know one another while having fun and also an excellent way to get to know the bride and the groom more.

Organizing wedding reception games is a great way to involve your guests and make them feel that they really are a part of the celebration. It is also a way to fill the time, so there would never be a dull moment during the reception. It also makes people loosen up for a long night of celebrating. No matter how small or how big your wedding is, wedding reception games work for about any group.

Never assume that your guests will be offended or annoyed when they are needed to join the games. Most wedding guests tell the wedding planners or the family of the bride and the groom that they did enjoy the whole wedding reception including being active and having fun in the wedding reception games.
